dettagli della Casetta di Butia

Borgo a Mozzano is a small town near Lucca. On entering the town, a monumental work of architecture stands out dating from the early Middle Ages: "il ponte della Maddalena e del Diavolo", the Magdalene or Devil's Bridge, so called because of the many legends told throughout the centuries on its account. The bridge, admired for its hump-backed shape, was made with stones hewn from the rock and fitted together. Today it is a popular destination for tourists from all over Italy and abroad. Carrying along the main road in the direction of Lucca, there are two churches: the first is the Baroque San Rocco finished in 1792), the other is San Iacopo, a spacious church with a nave and two aisles which has valuable statues by Luca and Andrea della Robbia. La Casetta di Butia is 2km from Borgo a Mozzano, 20km from Lucca, 50km from Pisa, 90km from Florence and 50km from the beach resorts of the Versilia Riviera.
